This is one of the largest parks in baseball’s minor league, and this fact alone should spark your curiosity. It can receive a little over 18,000 seated viewers and 150 standing viewers. The current size of the stadium is a little smaller than the original one.
Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park
The name of the attraction might sound a little long, but those who like to know more about wars and other similar armed conflicts might also want to visit. You’ll get the chance to see a submarine, a missile cruiser and a destroyer, all in a single place.
Albright Knox Art Gallery
The architectural style of the building is that of the Greek Revival and therefore it is rather impressive. The gallery houses both modern and contemporary art. The featured artists come from both Europe and US.
Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens
There are many tropical and subtropical plants here, though a selection of local ones can also be seen. The building dates back to late 1800s and features three domes made of glass. When visiting these gardens you’ll probably have a hard time deciding what looks best the buildings or the plants.
Delaware Park
It seems some people have a really hard time these days, and they can’t really can’t seem to be able to get out that state. Hopefully a day in this park will change that, as many sport related activities can change a person’s mood: tennis, golf, or cycling.
Buffalo Zoo
You can stop by the Buffalo Zoo if you are already in the Delaware Park. Of course children are more than welcomed to visit both indoor and outdoor exhibits living in their natural habitat.
Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site
The site marks the location where Theodore Roosevelt took his oath of office. Those coming here have the opportunity to learn how events happened during that day. Several years ago, a selection of new items have been added to the collection on display.
Forest Lawn Cemetery
There are two main reasons to want to visit this cemetery. One of them is the scenic views throughout the compound and the other one is to visit the graves of several famous people. You should also know this cemetery was founded in mid 19th century, therefore it has quite some history behind it.
Shea’s Performing Arts Center
The outside of this center might not be as impressive as the neo Spanish Baroque interior. This National Historic Landmark was designed by Cornelius and George Rapp and currently visiting tours are allowed.
